Heathrow gets writer-in-residence

Wondering when I can get a copy. But whenever I picture this man working away at his laptop to make notes for the book, he’s literally sitting in a dusty corner of the airport. Why? Because that’s where I would be, trying to occupy three little ones when it’s too crowed for us to have our own chairs.

According to the BBC, “De Botton is spending a week in Heathrow’s Terminal Five, where he will have access to all areas, and is due to write a book about the experience. He says airports encapsulate the modern world, featuring “interconnection, fast travel, the destruction of nature… dreams of consumerism and travel”. The airport will give away 10,000 copies of his book once it is written.”
